Maureen Folan

Ms. Folan is an AV rated attorney who has been litigating cases since 1988. She handles a wide array of professional negligence and business litigation cases and has substantial experience defending lawyers in malpractice claims. She often lectures on matters involving professional responsibility, ethics and conflicts of interest. Most recently, she co-presented a seminar at the State Bar Convention in Monterey and another State Bar presentation in Los Angeles entitled, "Preventing Malpractice in the Estate Planning and Administration Arena - Tips to Sleep Soundly at Night." She also has lectured to the Santa Clara County Bar Association on "How to Deal With Difficult Opposing Counsel and Clients." Ms. Folan also serves as a private mediator and works diligently to successfully resolve even the most contentious litigation matters. Additionally, she serves a Judge Pro Tem and arbitrator for the Santa Clara County Superior Court. Ms. Folan graduated Summa Cum Laude from U.C. Riverside in 1984 and U.C. Davis Law School in 1988. She is admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of California.
